Intel Looking for a new partner for meego

When Nokia chose Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 platform over Google’s Android, the world was pretty surprised at the move. Symbian, Nokia’s previous smartphone OS basically got a death sentence, and MeeGo, the OS that was supposed to be Nokia’s new focus, was left out.

Intel’s CEO, Paul Otellini, had a meeting with Analysts in London today, He believes that Nokia got a lot of money from Google and Microsoft to chose WP7 as primary OS over MEEGO,He goes on to say ‘I wouldnt have made the decision he made, I would probably have gone to Android if I were him. MeeGo would have been the best strategy, but he concluded that he couldnt afford it.’.
